Scholarly Conversations

For this assignment we chose a literary text and researched different editions of the text, as well as scholarship exploring the text. I chose Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and researched the earliest editions of the texts. This assignment required significant research into the history of Frankenstein’s publication, as well as in-depth knowledge of MLA guidelines. Through rigorous research and close reading, I compiled the various editions of Frankenstein along with citations from 25 scholarly articles and books related to this book. This assignment helped me hone my research skills and knowledge of MLA guidelines, as well as expanding my understanding of the interdependence of scholars and scholarship within literary studies.
